I thought I would start a regular feature here on Stock Market Investing Today called the Carnival of Investing. Based on the blog carnival approach where blogs reach and out and network to promote their best posts. It’s a lot of work to track down people to participate. So, what I thought I would do is track down some articles I like on the web and link to them. If you want to host a carnival of investing. Leave a comment and we’ll put it together. In any case, I hope to provide some weekend reading for you.
Anyway, the first post I liked that I read this week was from Joshua Hayes. He wrote a post called How I Use Investor’s Business Daily with TCNet. Evidently, he’s an avid surfer who lives in Hawaii. One great thing I garnered from his site was that since he is several hours behind the east coast, he can sleep in. This was a nice article about how he uses the IBD which is pretty relevant to what I’ve been talking about of late.
The Patient Fisherman wrote a post called The Importance Of Market Timing. In it he talks about Stockbee’s Market Monitor and the IBD’s Big Picture column. He and Stockbee have been putting together some very interesting watchlists. You should check it out.
Over at Quantifiable Edges, there’s a good article about Follow Through Days Before The Fourth Day. We’ve been focusing on general market direction and to some extent follow through days. This article talks about the most recent follow through day.
That should provide you a few other sites to review. I like to use the weekend to do some studying and maybe you will too.
Have a great weekend.
